A new play by Max Wilkinson.
A luxury apartment in South London. Bella and David are having a party. But when an old friend drops in, they find a man bleeding in the lift and fires start outside, they begin to question what is real and what is not...
Nominated for both the Nick Darke Award and the Theatre Uncut Political Playwriting Award,100 Ways the Fire Starts is a black comedy about the apocalypse and why we love it.
It explores our obsession with the end through the news, blockbusters and a kind of virtual yearning for a return to ground zero. But set in the new Elephant Park development in Southwark, is just as much about social divisions and gentrification.
