Welcome to Sensory Yoga Stage 2!
This 45 minute session is lively, sensory & fun! As popular with mums as it is with babies! Suitable from 7/8m to walking.
The class give you an opportunity to bond with your little one whilst singing, moving and playing together. We move baby and sing to them to stimulate baby's vestibular system, inhibitory control system and proprioceptive system. We play “what’s in the box” and explore sensory props and toys to stimulate their senses.
And we do all of this in an entirely age appropriate way. Encouraging babies physical and mental development without overstimulating or putting any pressure on them whatsoever. We always work to baby’s abilities and all of our classes contain activities appropriate for the age range.
Repetitive songs and routines, mean the class becomes familiar to your baby and allows baby to feel secure and empowered by the class routine. The class is split into a 12 week programme of so you can complete 2 terms and never experience exactly the same class, meaning many mums do a couple of terms. Babies who are moving on from yoga 1 will be pleased to no longer spend time on their backs and to explore more physical movements to encourage weight baring on their legs and arms.
To ensure our classes are safe and suitable for you, please can we ask you fill in this short medical questionnaire MEDICAL FORM. If you have done classes with us, you don't need to fill this in again, unless your medical circumstances have changed, we do ask you to keep up informed of any changes we may need to be aware of.
Please bring a blanket to sit your baby on.
