In 2017 we held our first Halloween event in the historic Victoria Tunnel; situated in the cradle of the industrial revolution in Newcastle- The Ouseburn Valley.
A tunnel built as a 2.2 mile waggonway to transport coal to the river-
A place never built for man nor beast.
After bankruptcy and a fatal accident in the tunnel it was left deserted for 79 long years, then in 1939-1945 used and voted as the 'Worst air raid shelter of WW2'.
A place where 9,000 souls sheltered 85ft underground during long air raids, with no clue of to the destruction unfolding above ground.
232 souls ventured into almost complete darkness that night in 2017, unaware of the terrifying events that were about to unfold.
Some refused to go in.
Some came running back out.
One worried about her fleek eyebrows being scared off her face.
Join us (forever) in 2018.
