In early 2019, a small group of people were challenged to use the resources and collections of Suffolk Archives to research their family and local history.
The discoveries they made about their relatives’ lives led to Lowestoft’s workhouse; the town’s long-lost Beach Village and, further afield, to Dunwich and even Canada!
This evening, professional actors represent these real Lowestoft characters from the past century; retelling their experiences in dramatisations which will bring to the stage the fascinating and tragic lives of the relatives these people discovered.
The show will launch at The Seagull Theatre in Lowestoft and go on to be performed at a range of community venues between Lowestoft and Dunwich in January.
