Blue in Green returns to the Gallery Cafe once again for another night of live jazz from emerging musicians with artists creating work in response to the music. Members of the audience are provided with pens and paper and are invited to draw too, whether they are skilled artists or novices. Music will be provided this time by:

The Matt Hurley Group

A brand-new ensemble led by guitarist Matt Hurley, that focuses on balancing nuanced melodic compositions with creative and open improvisation. The ensemble creates a unique sound by combining influences of jazz, European folk music and contemporary classical composition.

The group consists of upcoming young musicians who are all beginning to establish their unique voices on the London creative music scene since recently graduating from Guildhall School of Music and Royal Academy of Music.

Sam Glaser - Alto Sax
Jonny Wickham - Bass
Boz Martin Jones - Drums

Influences include the music of Paul Motian, Albert Ayler, Marc Ribot, Joni Mitchell and Steve Reich.
