Viola is an aerial theatre performance exploring the psychological journey through identity, belonging, and gender. Reimagining Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night through the eyes of Viola, this devising performance blends contemporary circus, dance and theatre with music and engaging multimedia, drawing parallels between psychological phenomena and creative expression. Created by Director/Writer Charlotte McKechnie and Choreographer/Aerialist Adam Wright, Viola represents a radical, darker reimagining of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedy, using breath-taking physicality and transfixing soundscape.
