"On Thin Ice was formed in 2014 to fulfil a request for live Pink Floyd music to be played at an outdoor one-off birthday celebration, 'Craigfest', in Kent
Some of the musicians in that original line-up had played music (but not Pink Floyd) together before, but with an incomplete band, a two-and-a-half hour set to play.... and only three months in which to prepare, it was going to be a tall order if a satisfactory result was to be achieved.....
Phones rang until they were red-hot - suitable people were bribed, lured and harassed into frantic rehearsals... sound equipment and stage lighting and lasers were shipped in.
Band nerves jangled and tensed as the big evening approached - they had now been told they were headlining - could they pull it off?
Anyone who was there that summer evening will tell you that the music, the lighting and the atmosphere was nothing short of a Pink Floyd gig itself! A little rose-tinted maybe, but having made the grade, On Thin Ice was not going to melt now."
